Anahata School of Yoga and Mindful Movement is proud to present this course to our community of student and fellow teachers of yoga!
The course has 3 modules scheduled over 3 months. Each module runs for 1.5 days over a weekend: 9 am – 5 pm on Saturday and 9 am – 2 pm on Sunday. During this time together, we explore Aerial Yoga poses, flows and transitions, basic wraps and hammock safety. A lot of time is dedicated to practicing teaching these to a partner in the group or a small group of fellow trainees. You must be present in person for all 3 modules to graduate.
Apprenticeship Hours: each trainee must complete 15 apprenticeship hours and submit feedback for each hour to the Lead Trainer of the course in writing: 5 hours as a student in an Aerial Yoga class with a certified teacher; 5 hours as an observer of an Aerial Yoga class with a certified teacher; and 5 hours as an assistant teacher in an Aerial Yoga class with a certified Aerial Yoga teacher. Apprenticeship hours may be completed at Anahata Yoga Studio & Boutique or any other studio offering Aerial Yoga classes. Apprenticeship hours may be submitted after the main modules are completed or before the end of the training course. It is a graduation requirement, and trainees will only receive the certificate after completing all 15 required apprenticeship hours.
Video Course: the participants of this training will receive access to the course video library. The library serves as a digital manual for the course and includes pre-recorded videos covering most major topics of the course. There is no extra fee for accessing the video library and the access is life-time, so you can refer back to the videos as needed during your training and after graduation.
When is the next training and how to enroll: the next class is tentatively scheduled to start the weekend of June 29-30, 2024. During the first weekend together we will decide on the dates of the other 2 modules as a group, with the goal of having one module in July and one in August 2024.
